Cross Conference Journey | 7th Annual | October 11-14, 2009

Moving Entrepreneurship Education Forward through your Professional Growth

Just as NACCE is dedicated to creating economic vitality through entrepreneurship, the NACCE conference is dedicated to serving as a vehicle to developing entrepreneurship education…one attendee at a time.

Our 7th annual conference will have a special roadmap that will allow you to find your way to success.   By the end of the conference, you will have found what you are looking for to start or improve upon an entrepreneurship education program at your community college.

Various stop along the journey include:
  • Networking with Colleagues
  • Learning from Experts
  • Sharing Knowledge
  • Rewarding Innovators and Leaders
The streets will be lined with newfound knowledge, friends and opportunities…just steer forward and keep moving!  Several pathways to get you to your destination will be available.  These pathways include:
  • Community Colleges and Economic Development Agencies
  • Entrepreneurship Curriculum & Experiential Learning
  • Entrepreneurship Outreach and Specialty Programs
  •  Linking K-12 & 2-4 Institutions Through Partnerships
  •  Professional Development—Supporting Faculty in Teaching Entrepreneurship Education
  • Sustainability – Keeping Entrepreneurship Offerings on Track

Each journey we take consists of places where we unwind, relax, hopefully meet some new people, and in this case, continue to grow along the way.  This conference offers three World Café’s that will provide just that.  These World Café’s are more than just the visitor centers with the small food court options – they’re fully integrated opportunities to learn, network, share, reward, and of course…GROW!

·         World Café:  Pathways

Be a part of discussions around the 6 pathways described above.

·         World Café:  Regions

Community college faculty and administration deal with similar issues as their colleagues from the same region.  Get together with others in your region to connect and learn from each other.  Discussions will be divided by region, and then by credit and non-credit programs, as well as discussions that cover both program types.

·         World Café:  Facilitated Discussions

Experts are on hand to present on a broad range of topics.  Take a look at the Facilitated Discussions listed in this program, and then choose your favorite.  Have a seat and be ready to learn in a small group environment.  And don’t miss the surprise ending!  (Hint: Marc  Schulman, President of the famous Chicago based Eli’s Cheesecake and our closing keynote within this session says “Don’t miss this session, and save some room for ch_ _ s_ca_ _.)

So enjoy your journey!  Stop at the navigation center (aka registration desk) and talk with any of our tour guides (aka NACCE staff) with any questions you have along the way.  Bon voyage, and enjoy the trip!
